this is excellent. It's a serious moment in a comic episode, and you have it brushed with that touch of heart which makes cotw so fabulous.

I love it. I completely love it. It's too late for me to really articulate WHY I love it, but I do. You got right into Ray's head at the nearest near-death moment he really has, and it's so eloquent and Kowalski-esque.

That's a great arresting beginning. What is going on?...oh yes, of course. I bet I'd go at least that crazy in conditions that cold!
I especially liked "and, cool, he remembers the words" and Fraser's gentle look.

I really enjoyed this, the jumbled, freely associating narrative that is Ray suffering from hypothermia. It's a great little read with a lot of punch.

This is really beautiful! I loved realizing where Ray was and what was happening, seeing the episode through his perception.

Dear Santa,
I saw when this was posted and squeeed like a squeeing thing, but I was so busy getting things ready for go-live day that I haven't actually had a chance to read it until now. And now I'm squeeing even MORE because this is vivid and sweet and kind of scary, and I love it to pieces.
That little glimpse of wee!Ray at the beginning was so cool, and yeah, dangling hypothermically from a hammock half-way up the mountain is the perfect metaphor for having fallen in love with Fraser, I think: terrifying, but ultimately (hopefully!) incredible. <3
THANK YOU so much for writing this for me! I feel all warm and appreciated.

Oooh, I like! I loved wee!Ray at the start -- and when I realized how far gone he was with hypothermia I got very afraid for him. Lovely little snippet. :D

I had a complex reaction to this one--it kind of was painful, and a little scary, but ultimately hopeful. So I guess it mirrors Ray's experience pretty well!
