So much fun! This could so have been an episode, and I love the way you let Dief shine. I am in awe of your casefic-plotting skills.

Oh, this is just lovely! I rarely read gen fic (I know, I know, warped by the slash bunnies) but was intrigued by a mention of this on ds_recsredux. And yay for it. :-)

I loved the use of Dief POV - his expectation of a butler and fruit basket at the fancy "Exhibitor Crating Area" was great - and the case was just wacky enough to be a real DS one. Great job, and thanks for sharing!

Hi! How awesome is Dief!! This was such a fun read, and so much in the spirit of the show. Wonderful!

So! Cute! And, Dief! I love his moment in the sun as he overcomes his stage fright and wows the crowd. Plus he saves the day, too! \o/

I have no words for how completely tickled I am by this story. You know your dog shows, dude! I am sort of ridiculously in love with both you and this fic. I read the whole thing with a huge, stupidly gleeful grin on my face, and I can't count the number of times I laughed out loud in sheer glee. You so totally WIN. Much love.

Okay, this was freakin' adorable! Fraser and Ray seemed very much in character to me, but the obvious star was, of course, DIEF! *loves*

Lots of fabulous lines, but you had me laughing out loud at this: "My grandparents were librarians. Never underestimate the importance of early reading skills." A perfect punchline for a brilliant set-up and smash.

And clearly you either know a heckuva lot about dog shows, or did a boatload of research (or are an excellent faker). The jargon and description of the way things ran worked really well for me.

Hee! That was awesome. :) Comely females! Dief's POV! Yay! :)

I enjoyed the characterization--Fraser and Ray seemed very true--and the setting was definitely unusual and fun.

And an involved plot, plus Dief POV = yay!

YAY!

Thank you so much for writing this! I loved the snarky Ray voice, Fraser being so ... bizarre and Fraserish, and Dief's POV was hysterical. Then that finale, with the Border Collies herding and the German Shepherds going Schutzhund and scary as all get out.

Comely females and Cheetos for all!
