I still haven't gotten all the way through this last year's dSSS fics, so I'm glad that Remixredux08 kicked me into gear. I love this story. You've done an excellent job of getting into Fraser's head, and it makes me ridiculously happy.

This is great!
Your description of Ray's mush dance, and Dief's response when Fraser tried it, had me laughing out loud. And then that letter, of so agaoonizing, Fraser throwing up after he put it in the mail and the long, long wait, stretching out beyond the moment where hope could reasonably live, to a second chance. Ray distracting Fraser with fellatio! *grins*
It's quite the emotional roller-coaster, for such a short story!

Eee! This was so adorable! I love the epistolary insert and Ray's sneaky way of moving to Canada. Lovely story. :)

I love this! It's sweet and then angsty and then sweet again, and all perfectly in character. And distraction by fellatio FOR FIVE MONTHS - that's quite some talent Ray's got! *g*
"There were moments--women and one man--who made me rethink my conclusions, however briefly, but it never worked out"
Now that is a very intriguing statement. The women, okay - I can think of Janet Morse, the country singer Tracy Jenkins, and maybe Denny Scarpa and even Maggie before he found out she was his sister. But the one man...? I would really like to know who you were thinking of. :)

Adorable adventure portraits! Then Ray taking Fraser by surprise = yay! But Fraser taken by surprise = ouch. Yay, yay, yay for Fraser coming clean and Ray going for it!

This is sheer delight. There is absolutely nothing about this that I do not love. Madly. Gleefully. So very much.

The reveal beat me to saying this before I knew who you were, but I thought I'd tell you that I kept a list of the stories I read and liked, and put a star next to this one: my very favourite!

The mush dance! Distraction by fellatio! And all the rest of it, all the sweet, goofy, sad, happy rest of it - wonderful!

Wow - emotional whiplash, in the best possible way :-). Funny at the start, heartbreaking in the middle, hopeful and sweet at the end. Well done.

That was great fun to read (except where it wasn't supposed to be fun, of course!). Love the structure. "It was, of course, rather unlikely that they were thinking the same thing" made me laugh.
Very well done!

Oh, I love this! Especially the "fraternal affection" and the fact that Ray distracts Fraser with blowjobs for three months. Oh, Fraser. Just, a wonderful story.

Yay, this was delicious. And what a total heart-throb your Ray is (item a: "Hey! You do not mock a man's mush dance, Fraser. That's just not cool.", item b: "I oughta kick you in the head for what you've put me through.", item c: "Quick to get you into bed.") *g*

This was really lovely and sweet, with a tart little angsty middle. Your Fraser voice is really rather good and the mush dance has got me grinning like an absolute fool :)

hilarious, poignant, and heartbreaking by turns, this fic snuck under my skin (much as Ray snuck his way into becoming Canadian, probably). Loved the little interjections of Ray's speech throughout.

Hee, this was faboo! I love competent!Ray and the whole Fraser-freakout section, and Dief, and Ray stealthily becoming Canadian without Fraser noticing, ha!
But nothing can top the mush dance. OMG. *falls over with Dief*

oblivious!Fraser and patient!Ray -- an unbeatable duet if there ever was one. I especially found Fraser very in character, asking for a second chance even though it scares him to death. And how obvious Ray was on the quest and how determined he was to stay. Lovely tale -- nice detail on Fraser's letter too, very much with the Fraser voice.

I never tire of good "five things" stories, and this one's an absolute gem. YAY! Many parts made me smile, and a couple made me laugh out loud. Ray's "mush dance"! Fraser imitating it! Dief laughing! HEE! I loved every little bit of this story.

I love this! So much! It's a fabulous Fraser voice, and I love the little glints of humour underneath the seriousness, just like the real Fraser, and I love how it makes the whole quest theme seem fresh and new and like nothing I've read before. Herewith please find my stream-of-consciousness squee:
Ray was the closest friend he'd ever had, even closer than Ray Vecchio, and truth be told, he wasn't ready to say goodbye.
*tear*
When he had trouble with a task--such as when he got the left wheel dog's tugline hopelessly tangled with the towline or when he had trouble setting the snow hook--Ray always refused assistance.
SLED DOG JARGON. I LOVE YOU.
And Fraser has a journal! I love this image.
MUSH DANCE. <3333
Fraser imitating the mush dance! <3333333333
Oh, and Ray putting the moves on Fraser, and Fraser being so adorably obtuse ('fraternal affection', hee!). So much love! The letter just breaks my heart, and then the last bit puts it back together in the best way.
