I may have let out an undignified squeal of glee while reading this. Possibly even more than once. This was sheer and utter delight, and I love it more than is entirely reasonable.

This fic was light a perfect pastry: light and sweet and just a little bit flaky :-) I love love love stories that take Ray and Fraser out of their typical Inuvik/Chicago haunts, and your descriptions of the Fairmount Banff were dead-on. I've spent quite a few summers in and around Banff and the hotel really does seem to come out of nowhere.
Anyway, I loved the dynamic between Fraser and Kowalski, and the adorable flirting and the gentle fade-to-black before the sex (which was a perfect choice). I really enjoyed this story!

SO adorable!! And the Banff Springs! That place is AWESOME, so many narrow creepy hallways that open into gigantic halls filled with weird old furniture.
And the golf course is always, always, filled with elk. (Not "Elks" like the men's club, but actual, giant deer creatures.)
And it's so typical of those two to stop a crime while they're on vacation. *hearts*

Aw, that was so cute. And it is a lovely resort - I've never been there, but I've seen pictures.

Is that a golf course?
When I saw that I started laughing. I loved Ray and Fraser playing golf! I loved them catching the would-be thief too. The telephone conversation with Vecchio was great too. Wonderful story! Thank you so much! I'm sorry I'm so late to reply, but I was out of town and without internet access for the last week. Yes, I was twitching all Christmas Day because I knew I had a story out there for me and I couldn't read it.

HEART.
I literally drew a heart in the air when I finished reading this (far far too short omg) bagatelle. (If you don't believe me, just ask Spuffyduds; she was there.) And I read, like, six or seven of the first lines OUT LOUD IN A COFFEEHOUSE (again, ask Spuffy) for the sheer pleasure of the punning X-Mennery. And Ray being a natural at golf, in that RPF meta way! And the sash cord! And "Betty does Banff"!
In conclusion: I'm in love.

Oh, this was fun! I loved "brain cloud" and the curtain sash used to apprehend the perp. Nice story!

Hee! Adorable story! Fraser on skates is indeed something to see. I love Ray's line about the date "...if it is a date, then why am I the girl?" Ahahahaha!

I darn near inhaled my coffee into my sinuses at "brain cloud," and I totally lost it (though thankfully not my coffee, which I'd put down) when Fraser introduced Ray to GOLF. Of course he'd find it "incredibly damn satisfying." Oh noes! Fraser's created a monster!
You win the Internets! The "busman's honeymoon" is icing on the cake, because *of course* there'd be a perp. This is so much fun. And now I want to stay at that hotel, too!

What a lovely story. Loved that Vecchio is impressed and maybe even a little jealous about where Fraser's taking Kowalski -- maybe even feeling a little inadequate in the romance department LOL -- And loved how Fraser slipped with the holiday vs. honeymoon *g*
