Oh, I loved Benny very carefully and concisely explaining to Ray why they had to mate for Dief's benefit. And sniffing at Ray's neck. Two guys playing "wolf" so the wolf would stop mating with strange dogs in the street.
What a sweet and dorktastic story!

Ooh, Benny educating and banter and love and sex!
This was so well done.
Educational stories can sometimes seem bland and sterile, but this wasn't at all. Quite the opposite. I was really caught up in the whole explanation, and I could picture and hear Benny all the way through it.
Ditto the sex could have, given the supposed reason for it (sneaky Benny) clinical - it wasn't at all. But then it wasn't just sex it was lovemaking.
And you summed everything that Ray and Benny are up in this line: '"Mating isn't just sex, Ray. It's emotional as much as physical."'
It says it all. It really does.
