Finally got around to reading this, and wow, it made me one happy squeeful fangirl! Wish I'd taken notes so I'd remember more details to put in the feedback. Anyway, I love how they all need each other in different ways--you really took the time to show how they fit together. And I love all the details and the OC:s. Ray's pizza place is wonderful--how awesome is it that it's called Vecchio's? (Incidentally, it made me crave pizza. Mmm, pizza.)
And the "hot as fuck" remark at the end? GUH.
Hmm, I wonder why all long F/K/V seems to be in Vecchio POV? Not that I'm complaining--I love the outside view of F and K.

*standing ovation* That was sensational. I was so happy that Ray came back, and Frannie, oh Frannie thinking three monks when it's going to be more like three minks. *g*

My heart is so huge from reading this story. It's perfect how Ray shows up, feeling so out of place, yet feeling such longing for Fraser, and Kowalski as it comes. I love the pizza place is Vecchio's. You kept the guys in character and made them so much more. I think this has to be my forever happily ever after story that I'll keep with me. I have so much love for this story.

what a great example of F/K/V goodness!!! i love that the relationship between the rays, though seemingly built on a shared love of fraser, had its own arc and was grounded in mutual respect and attraction. and MY GOD, the hotness of all of them!
it was just a lovely story, all around, but my favorite part? was this: "Ray had thought Fraser was being careless before, letting Ray know how much he cared when neither of them could act on it, but seeing Fraser's face now was a revelation. His love shone so bright in his eyes that Ray realized he had been trying to keep it damped down. That had been the best he could do." oh, fraser!

Oh MAN. This is amazing. The world is so full of warmth and detail (pizzeria! Vera! verbal chess games over the counter!) and I love the way you can let these guys fuck up and be less-than-awesome to each other, but still make their love for each other so clear and easy to see. That uneasy comfortability between Fraser and Ray V was really well-done, and the friendship/attraction thing growing between the two Rays was incredibly sweet. And man, this little part?
----"Good." And Ray took control, kissed him slowly and thoroughly with all the sweetness he had, until Kowalski's breathing was ragged and his hands clenched rhythmically in the back of Ray's shirt. Ray bit his jaw lightly and then murmured in his ear, "Because you are hot as fuck, Kowalski, and I want this to last."----
Sexy as holy HELL. That whole last sex scene was, really (and I'm always awed by your ability to coordinate the heat with more than two players) but that one line of Ray V's, there, was like GUH condensed.

Oh, wow. Fraser being way too obvious and Ray realizing that he WAS tamping it down and that was the best he could DO. So, so sweet and wistful and wonderful, as is the whole story.

oh, glorious! something in this story is vast, and generous, and full of life. I loved the quirky small town and its inhabitants, polar bears, dueling-at-dawn teenagers, curling aficionados and all. And you made me feel so strongly for RayV, displaced and lonely, searching for a connection. I really liked the touch of Fraser's *mother's* diary--that was genius! what a neat story. thank you!

This was STUPENDOUSLY AWESOME. I am slowly working my way through the archive, and I kept missing this, and then – then I lost a whole DAY to it. It took me forever to read the last half, b/c I was so goddamn emotionally invested, I didn't want it to END.
>>"You suppose? Jesus Christ, Benny!" Ray rubbed his hands over his face, closing his eyes so he wouldn't get distracted by Fraser's, warm and blue. "So you're saying I'm the Remington Steele in this scenario."
I laughed out loud and CLAPPED at this. OMG. I LOVE IT. I love ALL of it. I love that Kowalski FORGOT HIS NAME. I love that he runs a PIZZA SHOP IN CANADA. I LOVE IT.
>>>"It's okay. I feel like I'm undercover as a pizza guy," he said, like he was taking confession. "Like, I'm a secret agent or something. But you gotta make it look good or people won't buy it, you know?"
So much love. That is WONDERFUL.
>>"We decided together," he said mildly. "We're in this for the long haul, whatever happens, fire, flood, loss of limb, getting old. We have to live somewhere we can both survive, somewhere we can look after each other and get help if we need it."
*hearts* That is a fucking fabulous sentiment, and ties up everything I think about what might happen post-COTW.
>>At least, Ray was barely speaking to Fraser. Fraser retaliated by reciting a travelogue,
BEAUTIFUL. *dying* GOD, I love these guys.
>>"He tried," Fraser explained solemnly, "but apparently I'm incorrigible."
Love love LOVE.
>>"What the hell's going on with you?" he asked softly, not like he was expecting an answer, but like he was trying to figure it out for himself.
That took my breath away. I don't know. I just LOVE that. I can hear it and picture it and it means SO MUCH.
>>Lynnie, an elegant Chinese Canadian in a pretty red dress and too much perfume, whose nose was oddly familiar.
You are AWESOME. The NOSE thing. I just – wow. *CLAPS*
>>It's not just Chicago. It's a lot of things. We're birds of a feather, Vecchio. We're already practically family, and I—" He put his hand on Ray's arm, and Ray felt a sudden breathless impulse to drag Kowalski close and kiss the stupidity out of him.
*flails with glee* yes, yes, YES.
>>When he came back, he sat up on the back of the booth, his feet spread wide on the bench seat. Ray had to tilt his head back not to be staring at his crotch.
Oh, KOWALSKI. And your ginormous cock. *hearts*
>>>"Kowalski, trust me," he said, "you do not want to get into this."
"Funny," Kowalski said, softly, "I thought I did."
Same as before – this took my breath away. God, I LOVE how you write these guys.
>>>"What?" Ray thought about Kowalski sitting across from him, getting drunk. The graceful sprawl of his arms and legs, the gleam of his laughter. The casual accusations. "Why?"
100% Kowalski, 100% wonderful.
>>>If this was some kind of joke, Ray was going to go back to the arctic for the sole purpose of committing a double homicide.
*laughs out loud* Oh, I ADORE this.
>>>His love shone so bright in his eyes that Ray realized he had been trying to keep it damped down. That had been the best he could do.
I adore THAT even more. That is just WONDERFUL, and lends so much more to everything that came before it. FABULOUS.
>>>Kowalski climbed up and lay beside him, looking smug, and kissed his nose
KISSED HIS NOSE. *hearts*
>>>Max eyed them wryly. "Not to me, either. You're not my type. I like bears."
*dying of GLEE* omg. I LOVE this, and YOU, and THEM, and DUE SOUTH OMG. And CANADA. AND WOLVES. AND POLAR BEAR ATTACKS.

This is fabulous, and I loved it a whole lot! I liked the slow but steady pace, nothing left out in establishing how and why, but no dwelling on artificial obstacles. It all seemed very genuine. I loved the various original characters (and am I only imagining that Janine, studying for her pilot's license, is a nod to Northern Exposure?) who each seemed individual and real. The dialogue made me giggle sometimes. An awesome story!

This was just incredibly beautiful. Hurty, in the beginning, but in that way that makes the eventual resolution that much sweeter. And the connection between all of them was so strong from the beginning; there were dozens of lines that went straight to my heart. And that made me laugh out loud and melt and stop breathing, too, at various times. :) And maybe my favorite thing about this is how *grounded* it is, how you take the time to lay out exactly how this is going to work for them on a practical level, where they're all going to fit in this life together. I don't need any convincing as to the rightness of F/K/V--as you probably know, mystery author, if you know me at all--but still, the attention to detail here makes it all *real* in a way that fills me to the brim with joy. And OMG, they bought Vecchio a plane ticket, and Kowalski hugging him when he came back, and Fraser having been *trying* to been tamp down his feelings and still so obvious... I just... *flails* Beautiful.

God, I love this. They're all perfectly themselves and falling down, but into each other, so they stay upright. I especially love Kowalski putting it together and calling Ray and Fraser on it, with Ray lying and Fraser answering precisely.
So. Much. Love.

Oh, this story is AMAZING. I love it!
There's no way I can even be articulate yet. It's just so good, that I'm overwhelmed.
The characters' voices ring through so distinctly--Ray Vecchio's banter with and (mostly) good-natured bitching at Benny, Fraser's deadpan humor, and Ray Kowalski's invented-on-the-fly idioms...
Tuktoyaktuk is absolutely vivid and tangible, and the glimpses of the people living there are a treat.
Ray Vecchio as the Remington Steele of Kowalski's business!!! <3
And Kowalski feeling as though he's undercover as the pizza guy in his new life, and the way that makes Vecchio necessary, rather than an addition, however welcome... I love it.
