My brain is stuck on YAY from this story. The romance of it all swept me along, and then the smut melted my spine.
I love the hockey. I love the bowling. I love the watch and Frannie and everything. YAY.

Hi! That was... I don't know... the Platonic form of the F/K/V story, the perfect intangible expression of total due South threesome love, the one I never thought anyone would get on the dot. Indeed, dot it, file it, and mark it as done; like another Christmas movie "perfect in practically every way". I loved this, I loved your Vecchio voice, your characterisation of practically everyone, how you made Stella a character (and more than that, a sympathetic and awesome character, something I really admire in a Stella) and oh god, what a Christmas present for the boys. Hell, what a Christmas present for fandom. <3 <3

I JUST.
I promise I will leave better comments later, but. Oh my GOD. This just. You know?
I just wanted to say that for now.
(Also that I read the last third of this with my sister in law and an asleep four year old in my room. Awkward? One would think. I am GOOD.)

Holy Jesus FUCK.
I... have no words. I mean, I knew I would like this, because OT3, right? *Long* OTW.But it's more than that. It's long, and so affectionate to all of the characters, including Frannie and Stella. It's got Ray/Ray BFFness, which always kills me. Funny, loving, made-of-heart Kowalski and broken, aching Vecchio. You have Vecchio say "I loved the way Fraser said our name" and I have read OT3 out the wazoo and i've never seen a Ray be collective like this. And just when I thought I couldn't love it more, you started on the *sex*. Blowjob lessons, oh my God.
::: "Yeah, that's right," he said, "yeah, go slow, figure out the teeth, kinda tuck 'em behind your lips, okay, uhh, you think maybe you can take it a little deeper? Keep the tongue pressed tight underneath, yeah, like that, ohh, fuck, Vecchio, you're a natural, yeah, that's just right, if you could see the look on Fraser's face right now. His eyes are going black and he's breathing hard, God, this is gonna be great, you look amazing, Vecchio, I have been thinking about your mouth for weeks, fuck, oh Jesus, stop!" :::
I'll be in my bunk.

Wonderful story, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like how sweet and tentative the K/V is here, how K kisses V like it's a new thing between them (because it is), but he kisses F more like a dam bursting, because that's something that's built up over a long time. And I like all the musings on V after Vegas, and on his dad and other family. Poor K, thinking F didn't want him, and all ready to hand them off to each other. The ending made me squee with joy, and it's also so damn hot. I like how K just takes charge--he's like a catalyst or something.

*He sucked in his breath hard, and I remembered that I'd run out on Benny with nothing more than a phone call and left Kowalski to pick up the pieces. Of course Kowalski thought it was his business.*
I LOVE this. Not just this paragraph, but everything up to this point, because it's so damn thoughtful. You've obviously thought about the implications of every action and every word, and carried them out to logical (or illogical, emotional) conclusions, and it works friggin beautifully.
*Ignore that four-year-old doing the triple axle over there. Being her is punishment enough. *
That made me laugh out loud. Because, YES: Kowalski totally would say that, and it concisely sums up everything I've wanted to mutter about overachieving four-year-old athletes.
*I'd run concessions and lane rental and shoes and all that, and just watch Stella bowl like she owned the place. *
It's kinda weird, but yeah, I could see Stella as a bowler. Especially a super-competitive bowler. And anyway, this much detailed characterization is always a win.
*"To the max," Ray said.*
Oh ho ho. Nice giveaway, author.
*we can do 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.' It's got snow and the northern lights and a crazy Canadian with a dogsled who licks things and rehabilitates criminals.*
OH MY GOD. 'Rudolph' is totally one of my favorite Christmas movies, but now it is my favorite TO THE MAX.
*All the twisted, sick shit that had been building up inside me since I went to Vegas---hell, since I was born---it was like it just drained out and I was filled inside with tenderness, so light and big that I felt like if anyone touched me I would pop, just explode into heart-shaped confetti and air and heat.*
This totally choked me up. Despite the fact that this scene is smoking hot and Kowalski's dirty talk is enough to fry my brain, this totally mellows the scene and adds some pure beauty.
All in all, a gorgeous, awesome, enthralling piece. You sure know how to write a gift fic, author.

Love Vecchio's voice as narrator here! All of it, really - sweet and tart, a little sad, a lot of hopeful, and the hints of some kind of understanding, and maybe some romance happening as things move along, paced just nicely so RayV and RayK falling together over Fraser actually makes sense at the end. It's like the Seeker, the Guide, and the Grail. Huge fun!

Oh, I loved this! Vecchio's voice was pitch perfect, and so was Kowalski's. And I could easily imagine Fraser being caught between the two of them.

This was a beautiful story. I love the way you managed to set it up, and keep the three of them in character, so that the three of them getting together at the end was believable. The pacing worked really well, too; it never seemed to be happening too fast or too slowly, and the build-up and tension was very well-handled. The little touches of humour scattered through the story were great, and the angst never seemed to tip over into melodrama, so congratulations on your deftness of touch. I really admire your skill as a writer. Thank you for sharing this story with us. ^_^

I'm hopelessly late for work and not even coffee'd up yet, and it's all because of this story. HEART. And also SO FUCKING HOT OMG. Will write more later when annoying offline distractions have been disposed of and my brain is back online. For now: this is just amazing.

Ee! This is wonderful! I was hooked from the first line, and the prickly, push-pull relationship between Vecchio and Kowalski kept me reading. I love Kowalski's determination to make Fraser happy--even though he thinks that means helping his rival--and Vecchio working through issues that are older than Vegas. And the resolution is sweet and hot!

OMG, this story is bone-meltingly hot, sweet, and all-around wonderful. I adore your Vecchio voice. Your post-Vegas Vecchio is frighteningly, achingly believable. The jumping-off-the-bridge line is perfect, and so true. And actually true of both Rays.
I felt for RayV so much in the scene with Frannie. Actually in all the scenes. Adore your RayK and Fraser, too. And the scenes with them and the children! *sighs* And the presents. Everything. Outstanding. Beautiful, beautiful Christmas story, and one of the most fresh and believable treatments of this threesome that I've seen.
Almost forgot to mention--the hilarious scene with the Barbie! I was in stitches. \o/\o/\o/

Eeeeeeee! OMG, lovely, LONG F/K/V all for meeee! *twirls* This was wonderful; I loved the Rays slowly developing a friendship, and man, all the details of this--both canon and created, from Victoria to Stella--were just fantastic. Also, I have NO resistance against Fraser talking about Vecchio with so much admiration and respect, OMG. *melts* And great Frannie cameo, and I loved loved loved the Christmas presents they chose for each other, and the end... holy mother of hotness, the end. Absolutely scorching, and utterly grounded in the characters, too--I loved them all appreciating each other, and sharing their appreciation of each other with each other. So hot, so sweet, so awesome, a perfect payoff.
This was a delight--thank you so very very much!
