:D This is awesomely funny (first-degree murmur with intent, hee!) and hot. (I totally thought Chantal and Sophie were going to turn out to be lesbians, so awesome misdirection, too. Heh.)

Oh, I liked this a lot! Insecure Ray is my favorite Ray, for one thing, and add in a baffled Fraser and I'm sold. Great story!

Heeeeeee, poor, adorkable Ray. That was really well-done -- Ray's insecurities, and his resulting misunderstandings, were totally believable, which would have been tough to pull off, I think. And guh, that last scene was all kinds of HOT.

Very well written. I especially liked the line about Ray pronouncing Benton "Fraser" and Fraser telling Ray he didn't want him asking Ellen out!

oh, that was awesome, frothy, and FUN!
Usually I'm very irritated by jealousy fics, but there was such a deft touch to it here -- and I'm always a sucker for a good romantic comedy, which this totally is -- that it didn't bother me.
Sexually assertive!Fraser is hot like the sun and here especially -- GUH.

I just loved this, beginning to end. Line after line, right jab after left hook:
"'If you must. But I was hoping you'd help me celebrate.'" (Nnnguh.)
"Take that, Chantal." (Bwee.)
"All that pretending they were just friends. Maybe Fraser just wanted a girlfriend he didn't have to pretend about." (Woe.)
"He wanted Ray enough that he was willing to Talk about their Relationship. That was real love, all right." (AHAHAwwwwww.)
"(which was intended to mean, roughly, yes yes yes hell yes now please yes)" (melts omg)
Heart, heart, heart.

omg, I LOVED this. LOVED it. Misunderstanding fics usually make me tense, but you really balanced this well, and maybe I am about as smart as Ray, b/c I didn't figure out Sophie was the dog, either. *facepalms* This was funny and smart and well-written, with great tone and perfect characterization. I LOVE so many lines through the whole thing - you really cracked me up. Nicely done.

Very funny and engaging story! I loved the use of Fraser's bilingualism as a plot device, and Ray's irrational (yet heartfelt) jealousy. Great stuff!

Hee! Sweet and funny. I do like the comical misunderstanding plot, and you've pulled it off beautifully.
I particularly liked the way you've explored the mechanics of their relationship, the progression from buddies to more-than-buddies on the quest, to Fraser deciding to move back to Chicago (YES!!) while Ray considered moving to Canada (aw!), moving Fraser in to his own place and all the politics of who to tell and when and how. I don't see a lot of that kind of story lately, dealing with the realistic issues of coming out as a couple in their everyday Chicago life, and it's great. A great read!

Wheee! This was wonderful to read. Funny, IC, and very sexy. These are the kinds of stories about Ray and Fraser I like to read best, and you did it so well!!

Your Ray-voice is spot-on, funny and touching in an aww-Ray-you-silly-bugger kind of way. I have the best image of Chantal in my head, in her running clothes, in her full nineties-style bimbo glory (at least, that's what she looks like to me *g*). A funny read, with an original twist, I really enjoyed this.

I loved Ray driving himself completely nuts with jealousy, the twist (which I did not see coming), and the hot, desperate sex at the end.

Thank you, Santa!! Wonderful story! I love the jealousy-misunderstanding plot. YUM. I so love jealous Ray! ♥ You totally got me with the Sophie twist.
Poor (brokenhearted, dumbass) Ray! Thinking Fraser's on a *date* and resolving to win him back by having "the talk". <3<3<3
"Fraser didn't want anybody else, either. He wanted Ray, only Ray. He wanted Ray enough that he was willing to Talk about their Relationship. That was real love, all right."
*meep* I am ded of sappy glee.
And then I died *again* from hotness. I love desperate, post-angst make-up sex. Nrrrrgh.
"Fraser was fully dressed and sitting on the couch with Sophie's head in his lap, stroking her fur. ... "Did I not hear you say you were just friends?" Ray said, in a mock-serious voice. "That does not look like friends." He bent down to look Sophie in the eye. "Hey, you, keep your paws off. Get your own man."
Hee! Great ending!
Thanks!!!!!!!!! I love it! :):):)

Eeeeeeeeeeee, this was wonderful! I love poor Ray's confusion over Sophie (dogs! yay!) and then just about swallowed my tongue there at the end, the porn was so hot. Out-of-control Fraser, great googly moogly! Fabulous stuff! <3

Sweet and dysfunctional as only Ray can be LOL -- of course the daft bugger would jump to conclusions -- one does have to applaud Fraser's patience. Good work.
