I just read this again, without all the holiday craziness, and can I tell you how much I heart this? I love the real sense by the end how RayK suits him so much better than the elusive Stella, and how neither is really threatened by her anymore. That the sex scene between the three of them is a goodbye to her. Your Vecchio voice slays me.

This is marvelous. I loved the mellow pacing, the natural way such world-rocking events of such emotional complexity take place. And the descriptions of Kowalski (wet Kowalski, wow) are very, very guh.

Wow. That was...atmospheric and beautifully written, and what a hell of a hot threesome near the end. *whew*
I don't read a lot of Ray/Ray because of the hurty-Fraser aspects, but you stayed away from that, and this story has a calm feel about it, like being on a moonlit beach (which you described so well). I could just *feel* Tampa Bay. I loved RayV's description of RayK: "Kowalski was a mess in every sense of the word. He could burn pasta and he drank too much and swore too much and wore the worst clothes in the entire world, to the point where Ray was almost embarrassed to be seen with him in public, until he got distracted by his ass in those jeans." LOL! Yeah, he's distracting, all right. RayK *swimming* and fitting in with the guys as the bowling alley...they were perfect details. This was nicely done.

Just wanted to comment more on the title of your fic than the fic itself. It's so rare that anyone gets Patty G - that you named a fic after some of her kick-ass lyrics just totally rocks and I just wanted to tell you so!

Yeah, I loved this. This wonderful sense that RayK fits in this new world that RayV loves. I've been playing with a post-Fraser R/R story myself and you picked up on all the elements that I feel are "true." That Stella isn't going to waste time dumping husband No. 2. That it's going to be a surgical strike. Not in a bad way, but a feeling that they're all too old for this shit. Like they need to get on with it. You captured that beautifully.
And the threesome? HOTNESS! Like I'm not Mary Sueing my way into that triangle. No way, no how, jeez, being the between a R/R sandwich. Died and gone to heaven, baby.
Thank you very much. It's EXACTLY what I wanted for Christmas. Which is odd, because I've been a very bad girl this year, but perhaps the slash Santa thinks bad is good, or bad, or whatever.
Anyway, Merry Christmas to you and a Happy New Year.

This is a beautiful rendition of just how right fucked up can turn out to be. This is also how I thought a threesome with the Rays and Stella should work -- messed up and falling down against each other, so that they're all managing to remain standing.
Excellent!
