This was gorgeous! Such a lot of story in a short space, but it never felt rushed. I have a happy grin on my face now, and I can't seem to shake it! I blame you! :-)

I love this! Ray just brimming with happiness and the baby and asking Fraser to run off and get married and have 2.5 kids and a dog! ♥♥

This was my favorite bit:

"Ray," he says solemnly, eyes wide and serious. "Ray, I have a wolf, not a dog, will that still work?"

Great story! XD

This was sweet!

"'Two-point-five kids and minivan and dog?" Fraser echoes, like Ray's suddenly dropped into speaking Inuktitut or something."

Such a cute scene between them.

Hooray! This is the best dSSS present ever! It's exactly what I wanted - a little schmoopy, a little schmaltzy, but perfectly balanced by a tight narrative voice and some well-timed humor. I loved Ray being happy, and I loved Fraser being slightly flustured around the baby, and I really, really loved Ray's sudden realization that his life really isn't going to be the same ever again. I also liked the way you tackled Ray's desire to have kids - it's dismissed in a lot of fanfic as something he hoped would keep his marriage to Stella going, not as something he actually wanted. But I never quite buy that excuse, and I've always thought that if Ray were in a long-term relationship with Fraser, well, wouldn't that be a source of contention between them? You dealt with it beautifully here, and I am so happy with my present!

Thank you so much!

This line is great:

Oh, yay, this is excellent. What's not to love about RayK being happy? And this is such a perfect description:

"...because the baby's a soft solid weight in his hands, warm and alive and perfect, and he feels his heart blow wide open and knows instantly that he's never going to be the same."

Exactly how I felt when each of my children was born. Very beautifully and accurately put. It just rings all my bells to see RayK having that moment. And YAY! for Fraser understanding, saying yes, and kissing Ray in front of God and everyone. Great, great story, tightly and beautifully written.

awwwwww! I am SUCH a fan of Ray being happy, and also of small children and Fraser being flustered. And, if it is not evident, I am quite the fan of this story.
