This is a gorgeously visual story - I could really see the whole thing playing out in my head as I read - and, you know, caught myself reading the paragraph with Ray looking at Fraser in the snow several times because, what an image! This was romantic and hot.

Nice! I was almost scared off by the PG, and I'm soooo glad I wasn't. I especially liked Ray's "reflex thingy", but his voice was spot-on throughout. Great playfulness and mmmm... shower sex.

Great story! I love giggling, happy, playful Fraser and Ray saying "Eat snow and die, Mountie fiend" is too funny. Very nice, hawt ending.

I really all the characterisation packed into this line:
Lawyer-speak. God, when Stella did that it made me feel small and dumb, but Fraser using it, taking all those highfaluting words and old phrases and making them into a game makes me feel like I'm in on the joke.
I like this, too:
I have a hunch, an urge, a- a yen. I have a yen to take a leap. I make a little one first, off the sidewalk onto the street.
and
I guess The Stella didn't grind all my hope under her pretty designer heels...
Finally, I'm still laughing about this phrase: "cardboard cutout rabbittish"!

I think this story is perfect in any and every way. It's got snow, snow(ball) fights, sex and all. It's sweet how natural it comes to Ray to just embrace it all and hope and trust Fraser to do the same.

OMG! OMG! OMG! I love this SO much. You've got the Ray POV down perfectly, just the right amount of humour and intensity, and as if the snowball fight and the hot kissing wasn't enough, I got spine-melting shower sex, too! And that last line - oh, perfect; romantic and true without being sappy. What an amazing present! Thank you and happy holidays to you!
